Halal Excellence Award – Honoring the Best in Halal Business

As part of Halal Expo Philippines 2025, the Halal Excellence Award recognizes and celebrates outstanding businesses that have made significant contributions to the halal industry. This prestigious award highlights companies and individuals who uphold the highest standards in halal business practices, sustainability, and consumer trust.

Winners will be announced live at Halal Expo Philippines 2025 on November 13-15, 2025 at World Trade Centre Metro Manila.

How do I participate?

​To participate, simply submit a nomination using our short online form.

• Choose the category that best fits the nominee.
• Provide a short explanation of why they deserve to be recognized.
• Submit the form before the deadline.

Nominations are open to the public, you can nominate yourself, your business, or someone you believe is making a meaningful contribution to the halal industry.

Who is eligible to be nominated?

• ​Nominees must be based in Philippines and actively operating in the halal industry.
• Eligible sectors include: food, beverage, retail, manufacturing, services, hospitality, media, and community organizations.
• Both self-nominations and third-party nominations are accepted.
• Nominees must be in good standing with relevant regulatory bodies and reflect values consistent with halal principles.

Is there a fee to nominate?

No, submitting a nomination is completely free.

Do finalists need to pay anything?

​Yes. Selected finalists are required to pay a one-time TBD finalist activation fee to confirm their participation in the final round.

This fee includes:

• Official recognition and certification as a finalist
• Featured listing on the Halal Expo Philippines website and social media
• Eligibility for public voting
• Participation in the Halal Excellence Awards Gala, including on-stage recognition
• Professional finalist photography at the event
• Inclusion in awards signage and promotional materials
• Full access to Halal Expo Philippines ​2025, including the exhibition and conference for both days

This fee ensures a high-quality finalist experience and helps us professionally present and celebrate all honorees.

When will winners be announced?

Winners will be announced live at Halal Expo Philippines 2025 on November 13-15, 2025 at World Trade Centre Metro Manila.

What happens after I submit a nomination

Once your nomination is submitted, it will be reviewed by our selection committee. If the nominee is shortlisted, they will be contacted directly with instructions to activate their finalist status and gain access to public voting and promotional features.

How are finalists and winners selected?

​Finalists are chosen by a panel of industry experts based on merit, impact, and alignment with halal values.
Winners will be selected through a combination of jury review and public voting, and announced during the Halal Excellence Awards Gala at Halal Expo Philippines 2025.

Award Categories

1. Best Halal Restaurant
   Recognizing outstanding halal dining experiences, from taste and service to community impact. (dine-in restaurants, takeout spots, or food service brands known for quality and authenticity)
2. Best Halal Franchise
   Recognizing a halal franchise brand that has demonstrated strong business growth, brand consistency, and positive community impact across multiple locations. (for halal restaurants, retail chains, or service-based franchises expanding regionally or internationally with a clear halal identity.)
3. Best Halal Store/Retailer
   Honoring leading halal supermarkets, specialty stores, and retailers serving their communities with excellence. (Ideal for grocery stores, butchers, specialty retailers, and community-favorite shops)
4. Best Halal Product Manufacturer
   Celebrating innovation, quality, and dedication in halal-certified product manufacturing. (For manufacturers of packaged goods, beverages, cosmetics, supplements, or meat products)
5. Halal Business of the Year
   Awarded to a business driving growth, professionalism, and excellence in the halal market. (For any established halal brand, company, or enterprise setting the standard in the market)
6. Halal Product Innovation Award
   Spotlighting a breakthrough halal product or service bringing fresh ideas to the industry. (Great for new technologies, standout product launches, or inventive services)
7. Halal Culinary Excellence
   For chefs, caterers, or food brands raising the bar in halal cuisine through creativity and quality. (For chefs, caterers, food brands, or concepts redefining halal food culture)
8. Halal Influencer / Changemaker of the Year
   Honoring individuals using digital platforms or advocacy to inspire, educate, and uplift the halal community. (For social media influencers, educators, organizers, or public figures inspiring the halal community)
9. Halal Start-Up of the Year
   Celebrating a new halal-focused business (launched within the last 3 years) making bold moves and meaningful impact. 
10. Women in Halal Leadership
    Recognizing a woman who is leading change, shaping the industry, and empowering others in the halal space. (Open to founders, professionals, executives, creatives, or advocates making an impact)
11. Rising Star in Halal
    Awarded to a young entrepreneur or emerging brand (under 30 or less than 3 years old) showing promise, creativity, and drive.
12. Halal Community Impact Award
    Recognizing an organization, masjid, or initiative making a meaningful difference in the community through outreach, education, or social support. (masjids, Islamic centres, community hubs, or grassroots initiatives)
13. Corporate Social Responsibility Award
    Awarded to a halal business or brand that has demonstrated commitment to ethical business practices, social impact, and giving back to the community.
14. Halal Humanitarian Excellence Award
    Honouring a charity or non-profit that exemplifies compassion, transparency, and dedication in serving humanitarian needs within or beyond the Muslim community.
